Pros

The people that work there are fantastic and make the place what it is.

Cons

Unfortunately the administration is driving all the good people out and the only ones left is the dead wood. If you want to work at a place that still uses carbon paper and makes you fill out a time sheet than LIU is the place for you. I feel sorry for the students that go there because it is a dying leaf on a beautiful tree.

There really are none for employees unless you are one of the president's overpaid admin hires or are Pres. Cline, drawing an enormous salary while failing on all fronts

Cons

Incompetent administrative leadership who hold faculty and students in disdain and who are entirely distrusted (rightly) One boondoggle after another draining resources from what any univ'y mission should be (education and research) A level of mistreatment of faculty that is staggering Student employees seem to be the source of all or most positive reviews; trust the extraordinary negative reviews from faculty and full-time staff
