Pros

Great place to gain initial experience. Decent coworkers and supportive team/tech leads. Exposure to industry-standard tools and workflows. Decent stepping stone for early career professionals.

Cons

Limited career growth opportunities. Low pay compared to workload. Poor higher management that prioritizes profit over employee growth. Work-life balance is almost nonexistent in GSD. Lack of investment in employee development and retention. Documentation and processes for many clients are a mess. Lack of uniform and up-to-date documentation makes client support difficult.

Thank you for raising your concerns and we would encourage you to look to your team lead to discuss growth opportunities within our Service Desk team and look out for new opportunities on our internal jobs site. We are committed to ensuring there is a balance to support Service Desk team members with their expenses, such as the current hybrid schedule. We also do our best to provide the recommended documentation, keeping in mind we need to fit with specific client requirements. If there are documents that are lacking the necessary content, please speak to your team lead so they can escalate the matter.
