Pros

Great learning experience for a high school student. Definitely one of the most trying times in my career. Other than that there weren't many pros. I don't know why I stayed there so long.

Cons

The managers didn't seem to have a clear idea where they wanted to take the company. There were always half baked ideas and unfinished projects.

Pros

The pay was above average, their raises came fast both through their pay scale raises and merit raises. Within my first year i had a total of $2 raise.. and after that it continued to go up.. Their benefits were great too not only the cost + 10% shopping discount but medical/dental/401k/ profit sharing... As long as you do your job correctly and showed some initiative not only would you receive pay raises but they promoted you quickly according to your performance. Some department managers were more stern than others but over all it was getting to be like working with family.... until something changes.... like your store manager gets promoted to a busier location, and you get a new assistance store manager to take his place... and he is trying to cut back on the overhead (which include any cosmetic managers that were grandfathered in to a higher pay scale.

Cons

Changes in staff such as the store manager affects everything... not all at once but eventual affects everything. Sad to say I was one of the ones most affected by this drastic change.

Pros

Had great benefits, vacations, and over all a great staff to work with and for. Job provides a lot of variety during your day and over your career.

Cons

Well the biggest one is that the sold out to CVS so they no longer exist, but mostly the changes that took effect as a result of prepping for the sale, the things that made working there special all went away.
