Pros

The location is in a less congested part of north Atlanta. Business complex where the campus resides is nice and safe, with sidewalks, ponds, good access to the Forsyth Greenway.

Cons

Middle management is desensitized and lack innovation, and leadership team shares an ostrich mentality and deny the unproductive and disorganized processes in Their organization. Many employees from various acquired companies still holding on to how they did things back in the day. No integration into a united company.

Beware of QC Department!

Pros

I was really looking forward to this role when I first accepted it out of college, in my eyes Lonza was the ideal company to be working for. I was able to learn a-lot in the labs and had some great co workers and met some great people.

Cons

QC Management and HR are corrupt and work together to build cases against people they are threatened by. They do not take retaliations or sexual harassment seriously and try to cover it up. They hire out any lawyers in the area so they cannot be fought against due to conflict of interest. Work life balance does not exist in QC Biochem. The expectation is that you work weekends, holidays and long shifts and there is push back on vacation requests. If I could take years of my life back I would not work at this company even though I was able to get a-lot of industry experience. My mental health deteriorated and when it was brought up to my supervisor the response was "everyone feels this way".

Pros

Free food, a few cool people.

Cons

This was the most boring yet paradoxically stressful job I've ever had. For much of my experience it felt like the blind leading the blind. Several employees, management included, tended to withhold information in effort make themselves appear indispensable to those higher up the chain. Anyone could be on the chopping block at anytime, and this toxic work environment was fueled by an increasingly bitter workforce who would deliberate sabotage their coworkers. Pay was poor, even for those with years of experience. Voicing any complaints to HR was like yelling into a black hole. The training program here was by far the worst I've ever seen. Lots of tribal knowledge, and an attitude of, "that's not my problem" is deeply ingrained in the manufacturing side of this operation. These corporate monsters don't give a single crap about their workers, and will chew up and spit out as many people as long as upper management is getting their bonuses.
