Not a bad place to work

Pros

So far, I have found my first year to be pretty decent. My team is flexible and I don't have a ton of micromanagement. I do like that the company at least tries to engage with employees.

Cons

There's a lot of change and moving seats, so information is constantly changing.

Async Video Market Leader - Amazing Place to Work

Pros

- Async video market leader with unlimited potential upside that's currently winning a massive market on the right side of history (video coming to the workplace) - Rocket ship company that's grown 20x in two years. We had an all-hands a few weeks ago and the leadership team shared historic revenue growth metrics that were really exciting to see - Leadership team that genuinely cares about winning AND employee wellbeing. Loom (generously) offers week long winter & summer breaks, several additional random R&R days throughout the year, all in addition to unlimited PTO and standard holidays off - Amazing people across the organization both at work and in their personal lives. Employees are deeply passionate about Loom and creating a new behavior at work which is challenging and requires significant commitment to change at scale - Best-in-class pay (salary + equity), benefits, time-off and employee resources. The Company offsite in LA was awesome to get everyone together

Cons

- Not necessarily a con but Loom still needs to be a scrappy startup to win. People that come from more established companies (Google, Amazon, Facebook, etc.) struggle with the pace & challenge in what needs to be done to win. This has led to a handful of toxic voices within the company that don't represent the reality of working at Loom (i.e. some of the crazy reviews below) - Huge COVID beneficiary that fell in love with spending money that was unnecessary. Leadership has since course corrected with the RIF and cutting spend but there was definitely a lack of financial and business discipline for a period of time until recently

Cons

- its a startup. of course its not perfect. but no company really is. - sometimes people are too nice
