Pros

- There's a lot of autonomy and trust, which I appreciate. I don't ever feel micromanaged, but rather empowered to do my best work and to explore new areas of engineering if that's what I want to do. - The leadership team is truly transparent with decision making, strategy and sharing how the company's doing. - The team is awesome. Kind, empathetic, hard-working, and fast-paced is how I'd describe the engineering team here. - Loom is building a tool that is genuinely loved by customers, which is awesome to see. It's part of what made me join the company!

Cons

- There's sometimes ambiguity or thrash when working on projects, but that's part of being at a startup -- change happens quickly and often.

Pros

- Great coworkers who are incredibly smart, supportive, and kind - Lots of opportunities to have ownership and impact in the company and on the product - Great leaders who prioritize loommates and lead with transparency - An impactful product that is helping people work remotely and asynchronously

Cons

As Loom is a fast-growing startup, there are the expected growing pains, but the company is transparent, open to feedback, and continues to adapt.

Pros

- Some of the best people I've ever worked with - kind, smart, and great senses of humor. - The founders are humble and friendly. They always look to people with the right expertise when solving problems, and are always striving to improve themselves and the company. - Autonomous work with high, visible impact. You'll be solving unique problems and work closely with other functions across a fairly flat organization. - This is my first remote job and the onboarding was painless, I always feel included in discussions, and am free to manage my time and work. - I'm very aligned with the company values and see them demonstrated in my interactions with my team and other Loommates weekly. - I see a healthy culture of taking time off, and managing personal needs (especially during COVID).

Cons

The upsides for me may be downsides for others: it's a fast-paced environment where decisions can be made or changed quickly. You may have to operate within a fair amount of ambiguity and define your own path and goals.
