Don’t work here. If you actually care about planning, productivity, or your own professional growth, this agency is a black hole. The entire planning department is a shell. You will do zero actual work because the agency offloads every real task to expensive external consultants. You are just a glorified babysitter for contractors who actually get to do the job you were hired for. Management is the worst part. The office is stuffed with "managers" who don’t even have the relevant degrees, yet they pull triple your salary. They don’t provide mentorship or guidance; they just micromanage your time to hide the fact that there is nothing to manage. I spent my time here twiddling my thumbs, averaging maybe five hours of real work a week, even when they claimed it was a "busy period." I was fed the same lies for months that "more interesting work is coming," which is just a stalling tactic to keep staff from quitting. I learned nothing. My skills withered. If you are smart and want to accomplish something, go anywhere else. You will not build a career at LA Metro; you will just waste your time.

Promotional salary offers for existing employees are opaque. Unwritten rule is no existing employee is to recieve more than 5% increase whereas incoming employees have no cap.
