Pros

Some people will find it easy, no paperwork or documentation involved.

Cons

Terrible management. I was informed about this company before I started, the way Metro conducts their business is pretty shameless. They tell lies to the new hires, have zero accountability. The bus operators are the least paid out of all other departments and they're union is invisible and pathetic. Metro as a whole, allows retaliation, harassment and the abuse of power.

Pros

Stable Job, Good insurance plans

Cons

Salary is extremely low compared to the private sector, at least 25% lower. Promotion is kind of a joke. You only get about 5% more, so it’s better to get another job. HR and the HEAR office don’t protect employees. They receive the complaint and then tell you there’s nothing they can do. Seniority is a big issue. People literally don’t want to work. Some employees are basically quiet quitting. They don’t respond to emails or attend team meetings. They just show up in the office and do nothing. Very political environment. At Metro, you have to buy your own water. You have to pay out of pocket for business trips, and sometimes it takes more than three months to get reimbursed.
