Pros

This employer has excellent benefits as well as a pension with CalPERS. Depending on which group you work with, there is trememndous opportunity to grow and move up.

Cons

The work can get slow from dealing with various groups within Metro. As anything within a public agency, nothing moves fast and requires approval from multiple people.
