Pros
Work-life balance does not get better than at Metro (dependent upon your bosses of course). The organization is making an effort to recruit younger staff as the current Metro workforce ages, allowing for fresh ideas and more collaboration rather than a top-heavy approach. Benefits are excellent and include tuition reimbursement. Also, there are many opportunities for any employee to be influential in changing the workplace and improving programs and projects.
Cons
Antiquated policies, high performance under-recognized. Seniority is mistaken for true talent and blurs ambition. Some very bad attitudes that rarely get disciplined. Compensation is low (though benefits somewhat make up for the difference).
