Pros
I specifically joined a start-up for a few reasons: to learn as much as possible quickly, work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, see the fruits of my labor, and work with a small, driven, and passionate team. I can confidently say that Loxo has met all these criteria and vastly exceeded my expectations.
You will never be bored, that is for sure. The product is constantly improving, the market is always changing, and the team is exponentially growing. If you put in the effort your potential career opportunities are pretty much endless.
Overall, I enjoyed my time at Loxo and the skills and experiences I've picked up along the way are invaluable.
Cons
- Things change, and they change fast. If you don't like this type of environment then Loxo isn't for you.
- Pay is decent but not as high as other more established companies. However, you will learn much more at Loxo than at any other company so it's a trade-off. That's the nature of start-ups.
