Pros

The only pro here is gaining experience learning the VA process.

Cons

This company is production based , but has lost the big picture of retention ! Clinic managers are overworked , the rules and regulations are different based on what region you are in. This is absolutely delusional for a company to operate in this manner! There is no consistency with communication, and upper leadership will tell you that depending on who you ask “the answer is different”. Clinic managers are pushed to make sure examiners meet their metrics, however there is NO INCENTIVES at all for support staff! I’ve never seen a clinic not have a bonus at some level. It’s not worth it to make the company millions of dollars , deal with entitled Examiners, and have nothing to show for it. I don’t want to start naming names here, but there are certain individuals in leadership that need to be removed. We are tired of the mediocre policies, and HR is a joke. The next step will be hostile work environment investigations if you don’t start charging the culture and environment here! Stop being dishonest during the hiring process ! This has been a complaint as well from all Examiners and nothing is done about it. If I don’t see a change in these policies in the next 30 days, there will be a formal complaint initiated.

Overworked and underpaid

Pros

Providing services to veterans daily.

Cons

I have no idea where to start....Management expects you to work more than 8 hours per day to complete the unrealistic workload. The advertised salary range is very misleading. The pay rate changed to a lower base salary and incentive program that is difficult to earn and track as the criteria has changed a few times. It is hard to use PTO and there are restrictions around using PTO around Federal holidays and how many employees can take time off at one time. Management is unresponsive; they would rather replace than retain employees. They micromanage your time and do not provide adequate time for trainings or meetings.
