Pros

CTO, Grant Ingersoll is a great leader and a very smart individual. He's also surrounded by very knowledgeable individuals that are committed to the Solr project

Cons

Leadership doesn't have a lot of experience and it shows in the decisions. They are focusing on trying to make the company look cool with the excuse of attracting talent and increasing valuation. As long as the technical core remains strong these issues would be cosmetic and temporary
