Pros

Flexible vacation and appointment times off. Do your job well and you will have a job for a while. It is a good "job" dont use it as a "career" there is no where to go.

Cons

Low yearly raises and/or bonuses if any. When goals are reached to be able to move up given excuses and lies as to why it still cant happen and given more goals with no end. No incentive to move up, lateral moves only with no pay raises and double the workload. No award for going above and beyond just given an increased workload. Limited to no training on frequently new systems/processes that arent fully functional at time of launch. Forced to use internal systems that dont work properly, are extremely manual and make your job harder to do. HR gives hand slaps to upper management that consistently break the code of conduct/ ethics rules. Upper management will make calls/meetings to ensure departmental movement is not possible when applying to other job titles within the company even if you do good work...they dont want you to leave or grow it seems. Morale is horrible and many look elsewhere feeling the company simply doesnt care about them. Middle management just says cant change the way it is so deal with it. No accountability in upper management and mistakes roll downhill. CEO wont even answer your questions but they claim an "open door policy".

Pros

+ Unionized + Pay Raises every 6 months till top pay + Great Healthcare + 40 hours a week and they can only force you to work 8 mandatory hours

Cons

- Management sucks - They force you to break federal laws or else you get fired like me - CEO has no clue what he is doing - HR is completely terrible - All there equipment is used and you never get new one's unless they are required by law.

Pros

There really are not any pros since Centurylink took over. Medical has gone through the roof, while compensation has remained below national average. If your inept and lazy you will be rewarded.

Cons

All of the knowledgeable employees in the field are blamed for all of upper management's failures. Centurylink continues to wipe out jobs by contracting them out and forcing technicians to find new jobs or be forced to jobs they do not want. Mandatory overtime 8 hours a week, usually on a Friday when you have plans. Wages are the same in Seattle as they are in Iowa, no cost of living allowance. Managers do not have their employees backs, and create issues on the crews by having favorites. Management routinely turns a blind eye to racial, and sexual orientation discrimination, harassment, inappropriate use of language and subject matter. Failure to follow safety practices to get the job done. One crew is allowed to swear, make racist comments, talk about sex. On the other end of the hall in another room people are disciplined, and given intruction that they can and will be terminated for doing the same thing.
