Pros

You won't get bored. There is so much going on and a lot of work to do to help grow the business. If you work hard and take initiative, you will see the payoff. There is a lot of opportunity for growth here.

Cons

As to be expected with a startup, things change quickly and there's a lot of hard work to be done. There are a lot of kinks to be worked out so patience is a requirement. If you don't like changing course or adapting then this isn't the place for you. Sales and Digital Marketing teams are sometimes on completely different pages when it comes to what's going on with product launches but I've already seen management and CEO working to fix these problems. The workload is A LOT and there is definitely a lot of stress associated with the job. There needs to be more hiring going on to alleviate that and make sure that the business is able to scale as it is growing rapidly.

Pros

The people on my team are what keeps me at this job. It is challenging

Cons

Every time we have some bad but real postings on our page, management "encourages" people to post good comments. There is so much to fix but we try to take on too much before we can get things handled first Im still uncertain that if I mess up that I will be fired without notice. People keep getting moved off my team and we have to take all of their accounts which is hard when we already have too many. We do not get paid enough to handle so many accounts.

Thanks for your review. As the one responsible for managing Glassdoor reviews and employee engagement, I can tell you that I have not encouraged people to post good comments. Frankly, other employees just disagree with the reviews and want to help build, grow and enrich this team, as Glassdoor reviews do have a direct impact on recruiting and headcount v. workload on our teams. If you are uncertain what will happen if you mess up, go talk to your manager. They will be able to clearly outline what you need to do to be a successful contributor on our team. If you are still unsure, come talk to me. I can honestly say that people are not terminated for mistakes, but rather, repeat performance issues or behavioral actions. However, before that time ever comes with an employee, they are extensively coached on how to improve these measures. There are many, many opportunities for being successful in your career at Digital Pharmacist, and I take it very seriously that each and every member of this team feels supported on their journey here, so if you are feeling lost on this point, come find me.

Pros

1) Snacks! (and free catered lunch/breakfast tacos though rumor has it those have been phased out). 2)The office is located in a great area, there are lots of shops/restaurants around but you're not downtown. 3)There are some cool people that work there 4) Benefits are great!! (but I had to knock off a couple stars for compensation because they change the metrics for it a bunch) 5) Casual start-up vibe with trendy office space and dogs 6) Orange theory passes and an emphasis on health as part of the culture

Cons

I've thought about this a lot and it seems like a lot of my cons are growing pains that come with being a startup- confusing over product, lack of communication and delays in products. What I think is a larger concern is there is not a real opportunity for advancement and those essential to the products are overworked/underpaid. If you're competent and there for a bit, you'll get a new role. However, that promotion will come with no guidance or job description and chances are you will still have all your old tasks on top of random new ones. There is no clear line for how you grow as an individual. When you address this concern with management they will tell you there is nothing they can do. There's a lot of ideas at the top level of this company, which is great, that's what start-ups are for, but there's a focus on progressing for the sake of it and not perfecting the current project that leaves those at the bottom scrambling and on the front line of fire from the customer. I've noticed a lot of the responses to other reviews have mentioned voicing concerns. Which is something I did but it fell on deaf ears. This is a great company to work for if you're entry level. You will learn a lot about how companies work very quickly but as it stands right now, this is not a place to grow.
