Pros

- free training, products and treatments - really good immediate colleagues - some pretty decent products used in treatments - very respectful of different lifestyles and persons

Cons

- the treatments being tightly choreographed to the same music is very odd, gets repetitive and under stimulating very fast. The music for 2/3rds of treatments is a bit whack, and is a major part of the treatments. - the 6 week compulsory training period in Poole is exhausting, and the accom being 40mins/1hr away from the training centre adds on over time. - some of the trainers in Poole seem to be overly pressurised by upper mgmt. - quite high essential oil content in treatment products can irritate hands/arms after a while - high price point means the intensity of the performance aspect is very relied on to make the customer feel it's "worth it", especially for something like Karma - hard selling initiative of other treatments post-treatment kills the therapist-client rapport; a simple 'It'd be lovely to have you back, feel free to book in whenever with reception' is absolutely fine tbh. - the cult mentality is real and a lot to handle and you REALLY feel it in Poole, it is quite spooky. Talking about founders and trivia like they were biblical events was so funny but jarring. - very little respect for privacy and boundaries at the training centre, you need to be performing the entire time pretending you're loving every second of it (even if you're just trying to get on by peacefully). - management always seem to be in trouble; s*#t rolls down hill - high turnover; poor retention - staff sometimes overly inquisitive and lack professional boundaries at times: saying less is often better. - poorly managed laundry system! - questionable budgeting at various levels of business - they genuinely make spreadsheets about staff behaviour - lacks an HR department -- huge red flag

Business Outlook

Pros

fun collegues, near mrt station

Cons

Greenwashing, poor management, poor communication flow, no training, will crashout when called out. Unrealistic KPI, staff blamed for wastage. High Product wastage due to poor planning and ordering. Poor staff benefits, staff made to work even when sick, difficult to claim mc, staff are seen as cost instead of people. Defensive when given feedback but its the same feedback given independently by different individuals. High staff turnover. poor work flow, events are run last minute. insanely low pay, mid management roles are remotely market rate, closer to floorworker rates. OT is NOT payable and you will be punished for claiming hours.
