Applied for a job and had to do an unpaid trial shift. They just chuck you on the till and let you deal with it and it’s overall a very stressful experience for 2hrs that aren’t even paid. Really unfair job process, especially since most products don’t have a barcode so it’s impossible to even scan the items at the till, all the whilst “building a rapport” with customers.

Toxic environment, poor management, micro management, moral harassment, constantly stared at by supervisors and asked (forced) to approach customers, worst place ever, no HR department, management is free to do or say whatever they want; what goes beyond the limits of legality.
