      High paying for entry level engineer.

      Pros

      It paid very well, especially for a first co-op. The people were very kind and always willing to help. I enjoyed the family-like atmosphere at work.

      Cons

      The job was not very interesting or challenging. I felt as if I could have accomplished much more, but was not permitted to do so.

      Pros

      Lots of opportunities for training. Very safe workplace. I was given lots of responsibility without anyone looking over my shoulder. Great people.

      Cons

      You could tell the recent merger was changing the Lyondell way. Because it is a big company corporate HR managed the co-op program and was not as interested in your worth but rather just being able to fill the position with someone who is able to fill it.

      Pros

      Allows you to get a close look into many different types of mechanical equipment seen throughout the industry and provides multiples oportunities to improve yourself.

      Cons

      Working 10 hours a day for 4 days a week can be difficult at first, but it is nice having a 3 day weekend.
