Pros

its's a paycheck, plain and simple. some good and fun people to work with, and relaxed atmosphere depending on the department. company started out small and some of that small company culture still survives with monthly lunches and semi-quarterly events

Cons

managment never tells full story. cronyism runs rampant. corruption and lies abound and those who are honest and have integrity get pushed out the door. email is not exciting so attracts mostly the mediocre.

Interesting Hosted Marketing Platform along with nice San Jose Office.

Cons

Marketing driven company that doesn't pay enough attention to retain hard working, smart, experienced employees. They leap before they look and patch their technology as they go. A lot of upper management happen to be long time friends of 'Luis A Rivera and certain VPs don't have the qualified experience to be in their position otherwise. Belief that email marketing is the holly grail and all other solutions aquired are just added value. 11 months and very little to show for a sound technology, more interested in selling than retaining customers.

Lyris acquired five businesses and merged into one larger company in 2007. Company culture differs among different businesses. As such, relatively high staff turnover.
