Pros

It's a stable job, I guess.

Cons

You are not valued here. They preach work life balance but its a lie. They continue to push us to work more and more days in office even when the staff is vocally against it. Even people hired as remote are being forced to come in 4 days a week now. Pre-covid, the hybrid crowd had 2 days work from home a week, but that's gone now with no explanation. Raises are non-existent and do not keep up with inflation. I make nearly 100k a year here and my increase this year was barely 1 percent. Barely. They said the reason was because "the bank didnt hit their fiscal targets this year" which feels like BS because every quarter I'm forced to attend a meeting where I have to listen to the C-Suite pat themselves on the back for making new record high profits this quarter. Well then, which is it? Because it can't be both. They will use any minor reason to tank your yearly review to avoid paying you even a decent bonus. You will be docked for things that happen outside your control. Honestly, stay far away. The things your promised will be pulled out from underneath your feet. Every year I work here I basically make less money (relative to inflation) and lose more of the already little benefits I have.

Pros

Good starting pay & benefits

Cons

The raises are honestly offensive, so negotiate as much as you can to start when THEY need YOU. Benefits aren’t what they used to be. You’re overworked to the bone, constantly being given new responsibilities no matter how busy you already are. The role should just be called universal body because that is all it feels like they see you as. They say they care about the employees, but I sure didn’t feel that way
