Loyalty means nothing here — culture is a cover for mismanagement

Pros

Nothing worth highlighting from my very long experience.

Cons

There’s no real culture here — just contracts, politics, and a handful of favorites. “Culture fit” gets thrown around to justify decisions that are really about saving money or avoiding accountability. People work themselves into the ground doing three or four roles for one salary, with no recognition and no raise. Leadership rewards loyalty with layoffs and excuses. Communication is reactive, never proactive — you find out what’s happening after it’s already happened. Promotions depend more on who likes you than on what you deliver. Morale has dropped so far that good people are leaving faster than they can be replaced. And the results speak for themselves — no wonder they haven’t won anything significant in years. Instead of asking why, they blame “government shutdowns” and “budget constraints.” The truth is, when you stop valuing your people, you lose your edge.

Pros

I was able to work remotely

Cons

I was laid off due to a contract change along with about 60 others. Despite promising in a meeting that they would help us secure other roles, ManTech gave me ZERO suppor when I reached out, I was basically told I was on my own. In the past, I’ve worked for three other companies, and every single one of them helped me transition into a new role within the organization. ManTech did the opposite. During my final week, they even questioned employees about their hours, clearly looking for ways to claw back money and cut into our final paychecks. ManTech does not care about its people at all. If you’re considering working here, do yourself a favor and run the other way.

Don't Work on a Government Contract with ManTech

Pros

I receive paychecks on time.

Cons

Consider the below if considering employment on a federal contract controlled by ManTech: - Nearly zero accountability for poor performers. - Nearly zero recognition for high achievers. - Annual salary increases are the below cost of living increase. 3% is unheard of. - ManTech does not recognize all federal holidays and forces employees to take vacation even when working on a federal contract. - No sick time, but coming to work sick is discouraged since COVID. Meaning more of your limited vacation gone. - ManTech does not give significant raises but will hire someone off the street at a higher salary, creating discord on teams. Many of these items are stated to be "industry standard" by management. Do you want to work for a company that just does what everyone else is doing even if it's to your detriment, or one that strives to do better?
