Relationships with departments such as HR, IT, Security, etc. are non-existent to antagonistic. There are no established communication lines between different departments. When overlap occurs, these departments tend to issue ultimatum type emails forgetting that human interaction is best to accomplish simple tasks. These behaviors lead to loss of productivity and actually accomplishing contract-related business tasks. Lots of wasted time dealing with the bureaucracy of the company that impedes itself from letting its employee fulfill their contracted obligations.

They acquired our company. In reviewing our former company’s leave policy, they actually subtracted a day from our leave (was 15, they gave us 14...insulting to say the least). Medical was horrific. It just felt like every single thing they did reeked of not caring one. Little. Bit. About employees...just resources...commodities. My contract had an enormous amount of Indian tech experts...mantech and management treated them like rented circus monkeys. It was brutal! Every so often a mantech corporate person would stop in to tell us just how unimportant we were...but keep making them that money!
