Large footprint of company provides opportunities to find other departments, products and geographies for you to pursue within the company. Freedom to pursue work within your department as you see fit.

Cons

Strong silos between business units. People are willing to talk with you, but ultimately there is such a premium on each unit meeting their own demands that there is little realistic opportunity for innovation across teams and/or budgets. Managers are averse to risk that impacts them, but they will let you take the risk on yourself.
