Opportunity for advancement in retail sales if the manager is a fan of you. Larger than normal amount of PTO hours can be rolled over year to year.

Cons

Hours are not conducive to a work/home life balance. If you close I was getting home close to 8pm. Branch opens at 7 am so you have to be at work at 6:30 am. for a bank. Long Saturday hours. Consistently under staffed and hiring. Pay is less when factoring in similar positions at other financial institutions. Very old school in regards to tellers having to wear a "uniform" which makes them look like hotel cleaning staff, unfortunately. Also, no tattoos can be shown at any time what so ever. No bereavement leave until you hit 5 years with the company.. think about that. Inventive was taken away during the height of the pandemic, branches closed for very short amount of time. Average benefits.

Pros

Flexible schedules if you're in school and give them a heads up during the hiring process.

Cons

A HUGE focus on sales. If you don't meet the quarterly sales goal there is repercussions. You must be spirited and willing to dress up and participate for various spirit days. Managers will talk down to you in front of everyone. Not a peek of a tattoo should show.
