Poor transition leaves bad taste

Pros

Doesn't force non-compete agreement, wide reaching footprint in the Midwest with plenty of inventory available, and a good distribution system.

Cons

Poorly handled transition following acquisition left reps undertrained, some of the employees that were let go weren't given very much notice, despite there being plenty of opportunity. No efforts were made to truly evaluate the talents or capabilities of acquired employees. ERP seems underdeveloped.

Pros

Love the job. Great job. Lots freedom.

Cons

Mean people. Poor pay. Lots of responsibility for the pay and potion.

Pros

Entrepreneurial, privately held company allows the salesperson to do what's best for the customer. I'm astonished by the creativity and get-it-done spirit that is propelling Midland upwards in a declining paper market. Very much upside with Packaging program.

Cons

Paper market is in decline. Outdated computer system (being updated in Spring of 2014 though).
