Pros

Lots of different work opportunities. Good pay Solid benefits Most roles are hybrid Opportunity to change projects fairly frequently if you don't like what you are working on.

Cons

What work you can get is largely dependent on where you are located. Job titles for other employees can be loosely interpreted within the company Promotions are about how well you are perceived to be performing and not how well you are performing Establishg a network is pivotal for promotions and opportunities.

As a non-for profit working in partnership with the federal government, we take time-keeping management very seriously. Whether supporting one project at a time or many projects simultaneously, our staff are required to maintain accurate records of hours worked and absences used in support of the Federal Fair Labor Standards Act (Wage and Hour Law) as well as applicable state and local laws.

Great work-life balance. Great private gym on site. Cafeteria ok.

Cons

Working with government can be incredibly frustrating. This is not MITRE's fault but a reality of the industry.
