Pros

If you’re queer or have piercings/tattoos it’s really friendly. There is some sick time and vacation time which I can’t lie is nice.

Cons

Understaffing either either for profit or out of incompetence. Corporate says they’re union friendly but they will still try and scare you out of unionizing. Be prepared to be payed very little to do a 3 person job. Mod does not care about anyone’s physical and mental well being and will gaslight you into thinking you’re the problem. Want a promotion? Mod will somehow put it off until you quit or f*** it up and give it to someone else. Mod will refuse to take accountability for any of its shortcomings or lack of any communication with employees or customers and rather employees take the blunt force of mods unclear guidelines in making pizzas despite pizzas needing to be a certain way. I’ve had overall worse jobs but mod reeks of a profit over people mentality that will be it’s downfall like most other chain restaurants paying garbage wages in the US. Go somewhere local if you can.

Pros

Mod's slogan is "people before pizza," and they put a big focus on treating their employees with kindness. This has been a huge plus, as the 5 general managers I have worked with have been mostly very fair, and MOD is a great place to learn and grow as a professional.

Cons

However, the downside of this is that they can be so nice, that other employees who cause ongoing issues (gossip, threats, favoritism, prejudice against religious/gender/sexual orientation, general disrespect of others) will get off with simply a "talk" at best. There is no accountability in place to keep the workplace professional. MOD is "accepting" as advertised, but takes little to no action to uphold that code of conduct when violated by other employees.
