Poor Management Planning of Co-op

Pros

Company culture is nice and they provide many accommodations.

Cons

This was 6-month co-op position. I was told I would be working on a certain tech stack and using a particular programming language that aligned closely with my career goals. However, upon arrival, I was given a completely different area of work and did not at all get to use said programming language throughout the length of the co-op. This seemed to be due to a lack of need for work on the project I was told I would be on.

Cons

* Overall mediocre quality of engineering due to low compensation / over reliance on co-ops * No seniority structure, and no career advancement * Working on small projects without an expectation of a production deployment => do not develop skills that are transferable
