Employees are “jack of all trades, master of none”
Pros
-CEO is very transparent about mission statement and company earnings -Very friendly team and extremely smart coworkers -Great snacks, regular happy hours, good work life balance / culture overall -They do a good job of actually making good use of in-office time..most companies I’ve worked for just use their in-office time do things they could have done from home
Cons
The company has a lot going for it but it has a major flaw in that their employees are “jack of all trades, master of none.” For example, someone might be doing front end, back end, data science, and mechanical systems. While some breadth is good, the company takes it too far, resulting in employees feeling that they aren’t able to progress their career in the area that they actually want to. This could be a good thing for those earlier in their career who want to figure out what they like, but was challenging for more experienced folk like myself to do tasks that were not my area of expertise.
