      People focused Family still very involved in the business Customer is the boss and drives decision making. Family and community focused.

      Way behind the times in technology Lack of support to management from some in human resources Seems to be top heavy with directors Culture pushed to lower levels, but not lived by some very high profile corporate leaders

      Pros

      the pros for this company is career opportunities, culture, resources and benefits. With my experience at msc i have became a confident sales rep and learning news ways to provide great customer service.

      Cons

      the cons is the pay for my position and all the responsiblities for the amount of pay. Plus training has been on the low end of the postion. Also poor hiring in some fields in the company.

      World class distribution systems. Broad product offering. Excellent e-commerce site. Excellent benefits offering. Pockets of very bright people in various departments. Excellent 401k match. Flawless execution on shipping and customer service.

      Cons

      Top management mired in indecision. Risk adverse culture in certain areas. Not always on top of innovations in the market-place. Poor technical knowledge of industry with limited training for associates to close the gap.
