Abysmal leadership in eligibility centers/offices. Staff is often overworked and undertrained, and they will be penalized for making mistakes instead of being coached to do better. Sure, some mistakes do require write-ups. Putting several employees immediately on a final warning for minor things shouldn't be one of them. Everyone makes mistakes; this should be a teaching moment instead of anxiety-inducing.
Words are often used against a person when management becomes unhappy with the person, so how you are treated depends on their mood. Money is wasted on hiring and training new people after letting go of well-performing staff.
For example, a misogynistic (literally) employee did not like that his supervisor was a woman and lodged a complaint against her, heavily embellishing the truth to make his supervisor look like the bad guy. This, in turn, got a supervisor terminated, who spent many years greatly contributing to the company.
You are quickly given a feeling of uneasiness when working here, and they will replace you while the seat is still warm. Unless you keep your head down and work, you will quickly be a blip on someone's radar for speaking up or trying to do the right thing. Favoritism, and even some nepotism (cough, the CEO) are evident in this company.
