Laid off without warning, troubleshooting or development of their antiquated proprietary program requires extensive acquisition of knowledge that isn't well documented and isn't transferrable to other industries, management has been there too long and is elitist and has unrealistic expectations, no ability to move up aside from changing departments/roles entirely

- Poor work life balance - Little guidance for new hires - Lacks work delegation, distribution, and structure - Under paid - Over worked - Little recognition because of work overload, - PM’s carry project from sales through after care, including being the sole communication for customers, all technical writing for custom coding, QA testing, converting data, downloading data, more testing, implementing the software, user training, user documentation, Hypercare, support, report writing, problem solving (pretty much responsible for every beckon call the customer makes & explaining the data and all calculations). Better if you know professional services skills so you’re able to get things done yourself without a delay in the project timeline waiting for an item to get fixed. - Little to rare potential for growth once you’ve reached the PM role unless you entirely switch departments - Projects can be year long time lines and once you’re assigned to one you’re stuck on it repeating the process for each location (could be up to 12 locations, with each one being ~6-1yr+ depending on size) - No mentorship opportunities - Little PTO
