Pros - a pay check. If you find yourself here it’s the universe telling you to go back to school or find a new career. Make it a stepping stone job for the very short run if you must.

Cons

This is the Zombie company that was talked about during the 2008 market melt down that never recovered. Employees are miserable and just hanging on by a few threads. All company’s have politics - this is a purely a dysfunctional company and you will pray for politics.

Bureaucracy and petty office politics abound. Truly your career rests on what side of the fence you are on in relation to inter team politics. Company is too clunky and haphazard to do anything right, and its so called agile transformation is a sham for management to stick around and would ultimately leave in couple of years (which appears to be the trend), it is a constant management revolving door. Incompetent and old school middle management are not effective and lacks the acumen in implementing the direction of business transformation. I will not advice to join this company in the current state, perhaps it may change in the future.
