Pros

It's a driving job. Your hours are unlikely going to be regular. You can use the bathroom, but only while off company time. You can eat & drink to re-hydrate, but only off company time. Any qualified driver who applies is likely to be hired; MV Transportation's very high turnover rate means they're always looking for new drivers & they aren't picky. If you don't care about the quality of your work, your co-workers, your principles, or your professional record, then by all means apply.

Cons

Poor, unresponsive & abusive office & corporate staff, including dispatchers. Many clients are drunk, abusing drugs, argumentative & abusive verbally & in some cases, physically. Expect to be assaulted. MV Transportation's pay, compensation & benefits (what little they do offer) plainly suck. Your coworkers are likely to leave your vehicle a mess, requiring you to clean up after them & the MV Transportation's office staff doesn't care. The vehicles are in various stages of disrepair & in some cases, unfit to be driven. Bringing this to the MV Transportation office staff is a waste of time. You'll be required to perform your vehicle inspection report & never given enough time to do it properly, requiring you to falsify a legal document. The Safety Supervisor even tells the drivers to 'pencil-whip' the inspection reports! The safety meetings are a joke & the general manager is nothing but a paper-pushing corporate lackey. The training is rushed, sparse, inconsistent & sub-minimal & the trainers are burnt-out. Many drivers are urged, even required, to drive double shifts. Trying to contact MV Transportation corporate HR is next to impossible. The employee manuals are merely a list of things that both the corporate & local office ignore & violate on a daily basis. It's all about lip-service & maintaining appearances.

Pros

Hours are just perfect for the right person.

Cons

Very unorganized. Management is brand new, but inexperienced. Will do anything to make themselves look good, including throwing others under the bus.

Pros

You get to help people who are unable to drive, learn about the importance of safety in the workplace, and practice professional driving.

Cons

Low pay, unattractive benefits, and lack of respect for drivers from dispatchers. Very little opportunity for advancement.
