Pros

Cool people but that's about it...nothing good, nothing bad...just working and getting paid. Management doesn't know how to lead so you can slack off a bit without getting into trouble. Store isn't very busy so you can play games on your phone or computer...so that's cool I guess.

Cons

I realize with a small company they can't offer much but it seems like they care more about the profits and money in their own pockets than making it a good place to work. No benefits whatsoever, you just get a paycheck. I don't think their excuse of "being a small company" is valid since there are plenty of small companies who offer TONS more. They always talk about how they are one of the fastest growing companies but then say they are too small or too new to benefit employees. Nothing to stay for, so if something else better comes, i'll jump on it. No advancement either.

Pros

Plenty of work to do, reasonable and attentive management and ownership, company is in a state of rapid growth meaning more opportunity to rise to more lucrative positions as the company hires into the entry-level. Occasional bonuses for hard-working employees. Lots of company events (potlucks, holiday parties, etc.) Compensation is very fair, and management is open to listen to any employee concerns. Contrary to prior review, there is in fact PTO, accrued 2 days per 3 months worked up to 8 days annually, available for use up to 1 year after accrual. Management/ownership works just as hard as staff does, and leads by example and not by command. Very friendly and helpful staff. Feels more like a big team than a workforce.

Cons

Feels very short-staffed at times. Company is making the transition from small to medium size, as well as the establishment of a new retail store; workforce has been stretched thin through the transition. Lots of pressure on employees to perform, as well as tighter margins of acceptable error. New systems are being developed to streamline operations and improve efficiency, which can be difficult for an entire workforce to adapt to (but will be beneficial long-term). No benefits (it is clearly explained as to why the company isn't providing benefits upon hire, and MW is working with an insurance agent to make sure every employee is informed and educated of their options).

Pros

Absolutely love this company!! Working for Mac-Warehouse was for me an honor. The people are awesome to work with, the owners are beyond amazing and so easy to talk with if there is a problem, or somethings coming up at work that you're not sure about, just anything they're great people to work with, very understanding. Overall great opportunities to advance and have an amazing work experience.

Cons

Fast paced, so it can be stressful at times just like any job can be.
