Pros

The people, social events, team dynamics and project diversity. A great office to work in. Access to upper management is frequent and easy.

Cons

Line management, training and onboarding could do with some more structuring. Feedback on projects and allocation not taken too seriously.

Pros

Value staff development and put in resources to develop staff, Staff included in implementing the strategic vision. Good salaries and bonuses Variety of work internationally and UK although there seems to be a disconnect between international and UK for staff wanting to gain international experience or move back to UK after gaining international experience

Cons

No clear route for ex staff to get back into Mace. I, for example, left Mace to pursue an MBA. I would have loved to have been given options to return seamlessy after completing which I am due to in April 2019. Also there wasnt a clear route after completing a project internationally as to the options available. I was left on my own to leverage networks within Mace to get postings. Career progression and options needs to be made clearer and project employees wishing to gain experience at HQ need to be given the opportunity to fit back into HQ when there arent projects. That balance needs to be struck.

Thank you for this detailed feedback. It’s great to hear you enjoyed your time at Mace, and I’m disappointed that your experience in looking to re-join us hasn’t be an easy process. It’s a business priority to develop our people, and we are working towards improving clear career paths, access to opportunities as well as personal and professional development. I believe that a member of the HR team has since been in touch to speak to you directly about your concerns.
