Pros

-CEO and most of the senior management team is great -Scrappy, upstart attitude -Great office location -Some good titles published, a couple good imprints

Cons

-While there's a real passion to implement change from the top down but this change is not always realized/hindered by incompetent middle managers and people who would like things to stay exactly the same -Shocking number of absolutely incompetent people work there. Many of them have been with the company for ages and do the absolute minimum to get by (if that). -The degree of ego and drama that is tolerated is sad. People get away with a lot of BS at Macmillan. They would be fired at from most other jobs. -Company needs technology solutions to get rid of its operational bloat and some of its more incompetent departments
