Pros

I've been here 3 years and it has been a great experience. Love my boss and co-workers. My department really works as a team. My Senior leader has taken the time to meet with everyone in our team and has an open door policy. Benefits are good. I feel appreciated.

Cons

I have heard that some individuals have been let go without warning and they have felt that it was retaliation. However, I feel that there are two sides to every story and unless you know both sides how can you come up with a conclusion.

Pros

Working with new technologies, novel technical challenges and amazing new user experiences. Great bunch of talented people, each with a wealth of experiences . My colleagues are my best teachers. Learning lots of new techniques. Ambitious agenda with competent engineering team.

Cons

Offices away from Florida HQ seem to have less say in key decision-making on the product itself, but are given great respect on the technical aspects of the product. Reading through the reviews, I can only say that I'm located in the Sunnyvale office and I find the work environment full of determined, hard-working and fun-loving people. I do not feel the same complaints about politics in our office. However, I think a lot depends on who's team you are on and your manager's style. It's not as chaotic as in Florida, but people are creating and getting things done with real results. In some ways, I feel being away from HQ, gives us a little more space and quiet to focus on the technical aspects of what we are building - ie., the work.

Company is still a work in progress

Pros

- We are marching towards incredibly ambitious goals on all fronts (software, hardware, market, etc). - Here, you get to work with super talented people to push the boundaries of the state-of-the-art, and make it all into a product.

Cons

- Talented people who has accomplished great deals internally keep leaving the company. It's a trend that slows things down and makes project riskier in terms of team morale and milestone schedules. - Some internal teams are still not up to par for their tasks. Not all of them are on the critical path, but without adequate support it does impacts product schedule. - A few individuals are toxic for culture, creating pockets of highly dysfunctional collaboration.
