I exclusively talked about climate motivations when interviewing and also mentioned some reservations I had about the mission. I was repeatedly reassured and ended up joining. Unfortunately, I ultimately chose to leave Mainspring as I struggled to see any true climate mission or positive impact within Mainspring. I found that they went against genuine climate progress both on a large scale in their disappointing technology and on a small day-to-day scale. I also struggled to feel there was a genuine commitment to diversity as management told us to park in handicapped spots and I was denied a small desk accommodation for a medically documented disability. Also very poor benefits and pay, but this could have been overlooked for a genuine mission.
