Pros
Starting my career at blur was a worthwhile experience. I had the opportunity to work with some of the brightest people in the industry and I am lucky enough to say that I am one of a few within the company who has learned alot from people who care about the work they do and the customers they service on a day to day basis.
Cons
The company is riddled with the outcomes of poor decisions made by Senior Management. Poor decisions are made because a. Employees are constantly being micromanaged b. Snr Mgmt do not listen - to their staff and customers. It's sad to say that the platform has been ruined by the very people who created it due to the lack of awareness in the market's needs. As you can imagine, the combination of these 2 main factors have led to some of (if not, all) of the common pain points felt by staff. If you consider yourself a reasonably intelligent person who is looking for career progression, blur is not the place for you - individuals who are naturally able to follow rules without considering it's consequences are immediately favoured, while creative individuals who want to want growth and do their best for the bottom line are silenced (sometimes in very harsh ways).
