Pros

Meet a lot of amazing people. Family Events.

Cons

The workload is extremely heavy, and employees are constantly expected to take on more responsibilities without additional compensation or recognition. Pay does not align with the level of work required. Management promotions often go to individuals who lack proper training and leadership skills. There is an ongoing issue with promoting Field Service employees into internal roles they are unqualified for, leading to poor communication and a toxic work environment where employees are often talked down to. Speaking up about concerns results in being labeled as a problem, making it difficult to advocate for change without repercussions. The company culture is plagued by internal politics and gossip, even at the management level. There is a significant lack of clear processes, and any suggestions for improvement are either ignored or dismissed as “in progress” indefinitely. HR does not address concerns effectively—employees are either relocated or let go instead of resolving the root cause of the issue. Many managers lack leadership ability and corporate experience outside of Makino, making it difficult to drive meaningful change. Respect is based on tenure rather than performance or contributions. Meanwhile, remote employees—many of whom are in management—are rarely held accountable for their workload or effectiveness. Directors appear overworked and disconnected from the deeper issues within the company. Additionally, customer service is poor, and employees are not provided with the necessary resources to perform their jobs efficiently. The work environment is high-stress, with constant criticism and excessive meetings that accomplish little. Severe lack of communication internally. Overall, the lack of support, structure, and accountability makes for a frustrating and demotivating workplace. A lot of turnover with new people coming in for these reasons.

Pros

There are some nice people that work there

Cons

Entire leadership team, no trust in the organization, no real room for advancement- just nowhere to go. Structure has remained the same for 25+ years. Don’t look at people as actual people. Very old school expect people to put work before anything else family is second - Always. There is zero diversity and they are ok with that. This review is Sbiut the Mason location and the leadership there - not the Japanese leadership.
