Poor Management skills, no employee appreciation, no communication,

Needs serious improvements in the SALES processes. The Marketing Dept wags the dog. The Field Sales force is pretty much subject to what the Marketing Dept dictates. Not much flexibility or true collaboration/team work between these two portions of the organization. The District Managers do not seem to be engaged in making any changes with respect to this imbalance and divide. Even though they agree that it's a serious roadblock in making the relationship between the two a collaborative effort, nothing changes. The DM's just utilize poor "work-arounds" repetitively to address the lacking, uncompetitive promotions generated by the Marketing Dept., to "get by". The Marketing Dept knows about these unspoken methods and turns a blind eye, as does upper management. Thus, there is no true synergy, collaboration and true teamwork between the Field Sales force and the wagging Marketing Dept.
