Pros

The company is positioned well in a highly competitive market. In an era where everyone is trying to push their stack, Marin is well positioned as an open stack that offers advertisers the flexibility to choose an advertising channel and attribution vendor while reporting in a single interface. The new executive team is decisive. They realized the company was burning through cash on operations and the last several quarters have seen margin rise with profitability in sight. Compensation is very competitive. The stock has gone down despite revenue growth and margin growth. The executive team has pivoted to RSU grants to ensure everyone has skin in the game. Seeing positive collaboration with the publishers for the first time.

Cons

Too many people aren't looking at the big picture. We're in a competitive space and we need to be scrappy. The street has no understanding on what the company does, this is reflective of a market cap which is only ~1.5 times earnings despite 21% y/y revenue growth.

Pros

Bright, knowledgeable, personable team members Top benefits Competitive salary Great location Thoughtful management Clear company mission/direction - makes it easy to find motivation and sense of urgency Primarily promotions happen from within Work-life balance that makes sense - first, take care of your family, loved ones and friends, then come to work ready to work I know my review sounds pretty glowing, but I just want to counter some of the negative sentiment... all too often review sites only generate negative content because displeased people are more willing to take the time to write. I personally have been working at Marin for quite some time now, have found great career growth and have thoroughly enjoyed my time working here.

Cons

Sometimes I see inter-departmental politics creep up... gross. The us-against-them attitude can be very poisonous and needs to be squashed before it takes root. We're all on the same team with the same mission! I'm tempted to write criticisms of other departments, but that's just not healthy :P

Pros

The people are smart and hard working, good health insurance, it was easy to have a good work/life balance by setting my own rigid boundaries and other people would fall in line to respect them as much as possible.

Cons

The C-level team has no clue how to turn the ship around.
