Health care in general is going through growing pains, trying to find processes that are best practice. MGH is no exception. Cohesive processes and communication are areas that need work.

Excellent benefits package, total compensation is in line or exceeds industry standards. Rewarding to work with grateful patients more often than not, also rewarding to try to help patients who are struggling. Lots of wellness opportunities such as discounts to gyms, onsite fitness classes, healthy eating/aerobic tutorials/weight management seminars. Generous retirement package - 403b and pension plan. I live in central Marin - easy to commute to and from work on most days.

Cons

Hospital work environments are hectic - most days are very fast paced and priorities seem to change daily. Seems to be the standard for this industry.
