Pros

Decent pay, great benefits, generally positive work environment. Supervisors are generally positive and supportive. Most co-workers are good at their job, but there are those that hide behind union protection. While there is advancement potential they can and do hire from the outside as well

Cons

Government inefficiencies are common, support services can be very mediocre, poor performing employees are not disciplined. Union interference in regards to those poor performing employees.
