The top management is relatively.

Management practice favouritism. Employees are not given a chance to make mistakes during probation period. Asked to work during month-end close. Managers undermines employees by giving instructions behind employees back. Managers are not supportive to employees. Exit interviews are not conducted.

Pros

- 10,20£/h at night shift - great, experienced, well organized management (mostly) - 3,25£ every day to spend on hot dinner and snacks/sodas on site - 8 hour shift (7,5h + 0,5h break) - job requires to focus as enviroment is busy, everyone operating PPT - i felt apreciated and respected working there, and in the team, as I was like the yougest guy there, and not of a very strong posture, yet most men there were older and stronger, while I was doing better than most of them - breaks: Dry and Chiller - 15min + 30 min + 15 min Freezer - after one hour of working in freezer u get 10 minutes break, another hour passes you get 15 minutes one with everyone from dry and chill, then u get 10 minutes again, and then u go to dinner and so on... so in total in the freezer you get 100 minutes of breaks, that;s 1h40min !!

Cons

- job is mostly only for strong men. boxes could reach up to 25kg - freezer reaching -20C, most boxes in freezer around 20kg+ - pick rates 200/h in freezer and chiller, 147/h in dry - working every bank holiday - 'new contracts' were getting weekend shifts - old contracts got a lot more benefits, bonuses, monday-friday shifts, more money overall, so it was unfair to do the same job and get less money than some guys there. I remember one guy did like 70h in a week and got 900£+ payslip.. crazy - due to the bussines company growth more and more people was coming, and hired people were mostly some junkies, not really caring about getting on with the team and the job
