Pros
Always work to be done. Pays the bills. Most of the people are nice. Nice equipment. Warehouse does a good job compared to other locations. Its a good job if you can keep a good attitude. Union shop-not sure if thats a good or bad thing.
Cons
New guys must be available anytime. Takes at least 1.5 years to get your own routes. Very physically demanding. Not enough pay to compensate for when your body gets worn out down there road. Must work a 6 day shift (inc sat) to make any decent money. 5 day shift incl sat is mandatory. Routers are in need of improvement. They have to hit a case quota on the truck, and deal with specific timing windows of 550+ stores, sometimes making the truck run illogically. Dealing with a customer that pays minimum wage, that is usually understaffed, while the drivers are not paid by the hour, makes the delivery process aggravating to say the least.
