Pros

Flexible schedule. The T stop is RIGHT next to the building.

Cons

Sooo if you need to deal with HR in any way...you're screwed. They're so confused as to who handles what that you'll have to call different HR offices to get anyone to help you. Everyone, no matter how important you think are, works in a cube. Which is fine for some, but gets really annoying when you want privacy or make phone calls throughout the day where you need to focus and concentrate.

Pros

Great benefits package. Easy hours and everyone usually leaves early. Easy to get hired. Safe place to work and its hard to get fired. Updated office at Assembly Row. Decent cafeteria.

Cons

Epic analysts are paid much lower than average compared to other healthcare facilities in the Boston area. Having worked at multiple healthcare organizations around the area, Partners can be doing a lot more to compensate their analysts. People are promoted based on the number of years they have been at the company. THERE IS NO MERIT BASED GROWTH. You can be the top performer on your team, but the person who surfs the web and does no work next to you will get a raise and a promotion because they've been their longer. This place is a dead end for your career. Many people get promoted to positions they should not be in and this results in subpar leadership throughout the company. People are put into silos on their teams and this results in people hoarding knowledge and lacking experience in other areas in their own application. If you are an analyst with multiple certifications that likes being versatile in their skill base AVOID THIS PLACE! You will be put into a focused area and lose your knowledge over time because you won't be able to work on those other areas of your application you have worked hard to get certified on. Communication between teams is terrible and its more than likely you will end up working on the same thing a team member is working on and you will have no idea. Lots of time will be wasted trying to figure out what your teammates are even working on because no one knows. There is ZERO culture at this company. People are there to get a paycheck and get their 8 hours done. Partners makes minimal effort to encourage team bonding and interaction. If you are an Epic analyst there are plenty of better options out there that will pay you better and give you the opportunity to grow. Partners is not a bad company, but it is below average in many ways. You will be treated as a glorified help desk and you will lose skills rather than gaining them. Hopefully this warning will keep other analysts from making the mistake I did by joining this company. You can do better.
