      ET time, job security, benefits.

      Cons

      Low pay for a Boston hospital, changing culture, profit is the bottom line. Pay raises do not exist yearly 2 - 3 percent increase that doesn’t cover cost of living increases.

      Pros

      They implemented new system for employees in 2020 where everyone needs to clock in and out. I used to get a flat weekly pay despite working >80 hours/week in research lab. There is a sense of camaraderie with colleagues even outside work Cafetaria has nice foods and vending machine has plenty of options. Cutting edge research, but PIs usually have overinflated sense of ego

      Cons

      Dead end job, the only way to advance is by applying for new job internally after gaining x years of experience. HR is not your friend. They did report grievances to supervisors/PIs, which ended up employees with grievances getting retaliated. 2% contribution to retirement fund (403 B). Lack of PI oversight. Depending on hospital's performance, it is possible to get Thanksgiving bonus (read: if hospital revenue is not good in the fiscal year, no bonus).
