Pros

Foot traffic, I'm booked 90-100% every shift. My coworkers are awesome and make the job fun. It's an ideal situation for someone fresh out of school to get some practice in, but for an established therapist, you will be expected to perform at a five star level for a one star pay

Cons

After a year here, the number of high intensity massages I've done greatly exceeds how I've been compensated. The tips are rarely what they should be, sometimes you'll get $6 for a 2 hour massage which is a joke. Also, the management is under the impression we do not need a lead therapist so there's no upward mobility available at the moment.

Not worth my time.

Pros

Excellent pay if you hit your goal on clientele for the week. Lots of people throughout the company who help with any questions during training.

Cons

Unless you have over 23 clients a week, which for facials doesn't ever happen, you will be making minimum wage. You loose out on membership sales, and commission until you reach that.

Pros

You may have a better chance staying booked and making rent money at Envy than on your own

Cons

Management in terrible and often recruited from outside the industry. As a therapist you are lowest in the hierarchy and always reminded that you are an easily replaced resource. Working conditions are rigid and frequently unsafe. Pay stubs are frequently wrong and don't reflect actual hours worked. Several lawsuits in CA are pending regarding requiring therapists to remain onsite, essentially on call, without pay.
